Opt-out policy
How to stop us contacting you, how to have what we hold about you deleted, what we are obliged to keep anyway, and how long each takes.
The short version
Telephone (407) 423-9071 and say you want to be removed. No form, no account, no unsubscribe link to find, no reason required. We confirm it on the call.
What you can ask for
Stop contacting me. We stop. In practice there is very little to stop: we run no mailing list and nobody is added to anything for telephoning to ask a rate.
Tell me what you hold. We will tell you what is on file against your name or your company, and send it to you.
Correct something. A misspelled name, a stale contact, a company that has been acquired. Corrected on the call.
Delete what you hold. We delete what we are free to delete, and say plainly what we are not.
What we cannot delete, and why
Where we have actually carried out work for you, that work leaves records we are required to keep: the contract, daily reports, field photography, test results, the close-out package, invoices and payment records. Accounting and tax rules require some of them; construction liability periods require others, sometimes for years after completion.
This is not us being obstructive. A contractor who offered to delete the evidence that a structural modification was built as drawn would be offering to destroy the one document that protects you if that structure is ever questioned.
What we can do, and will, is remove you from any contact use of those details, so the records sit in the project file and nowhere else until their retention period expires.
How long it takes
Contact removal takes effect immediately on the call.
A request to see, correct or delete what we hold is answered within thirty days, and usually a great deal sooner.
Advertising you may have seen
This site currently loads no advertising or analytics tag at all, so there is nothing on it to opt out of. If we later run paid search advertising, the Microsoft Advertising UET tag described in the cookie policy would be set by Microsoft rather than by us, and would be refused through Microsoft and through your browser.
Where to send it

The other policies
All seven are linked in the footer of every page on this site, and from the homepage as well.
Ask before the work, not after
Anything on this page that is unclear, or that your organisation needs in a different form — a certificate of insurance naming your project, the safety programme, climber certification records, W-9 or vendor-registration paperwork — is a telephone call away.
